Brabo TeXtreme formula 3

Composition:
-100% carbon

Weight:
-545g

Bend:
-24.75mm.Optimun point 300 up the stick.

Design:
-The design of the Brabo is simple but effective, two diagonal orange stripes close to the head, a Brabo and TeXtreme Logo on the back and a Silver F3 on the head. Nothing special. It also uses a clear carbon finish like many high end sticks. The design is great you, don't get tired of it.

Control:
-Good.The stick controls the ball as well as a mid bow is expected to. Nothing amazing here, no abrasive coating is used on the stick face, it’s nice and smooth (when it’s new anyway).

Feel:
-OK.Like most high carbon sticks the feel on the ball isn't great, but this stick isn't about feel, it’s about raw power.

Power:
-Destructive.The sheer force this stick can put behind the ball is amazing. If the ball is struck correctly (really hard), you´ll knock a keepers left glove off, you can break balls, crack goal backboards, hurt your hands and get the people responsible for the things you break very angry. Standard shots and passes work also very well, straight and crisp passes are easy to do, though that depends on technique as well.

Vibration management:
-Great.Especially when you use a high grip when hitting, short hits can be painful though.

Hitting:
-Near deadly.Extreme power, should be used responsibly

Dribbling:
-OK.Good balance and moderate control but lacking feel.

Flicking:
-Good.As expected from a mid bow pushing and flicking is perfectly fine, but nothing amazing.

Tomahawks:
-Amazing.Due to the extreme stiffness. Reverse hits and hitting in general is what this stick is made to do.

Malik Diamond

Composition:

-95% carbon
-5%  fibreglass

Weight:
-460g

Bend:
-24,75mm.Optimun point 300mm up the stick

 Design:
-It has the same design of all Malik sticks. In this case the base colour is gold and the emblem is white in the inside and black outside. In my opinion it's a little boring because all of these sticks are the same, without difference between the sticks.

Hitting:
-You dont necessarily have to hit from the right foot, just ensure that you aren't leaning to far back and ball hugs the turf all the way into the backboard.
But if the moment takes you and you feel like trying out the keepers' hand reflexes then the ball can easily be lofted. The power of the stick is noticably stronger than the Gaucho, almost as good as the Tour.

 Dribbling:
-The extreme light weight and the low bow make dribbling a doddle. So easy it feels like your cheating when you left-right the defender. The first touch is also very good, the ball doesn't bounce away.

Flicking:
-Whilst not as superb as other sticks with more bend, the stick still manages to generate considerable speed, even being an inch shorter, a factor that I originally thought would hinder my skill.Penalty strokes and overheads are also good too.Strokes are easily handled and over heads soar down the pitch.

Dita Exa 700

Composition:
-70% carbon
-20% fibreglass
-10% aramid

Weight:
-550g

Bend:
-24,5mm.Optimun point 300mm up the stick.

Design:
-It has the classical design of the Dita sticks in black and white( you can have it in blue and white too), the black is a matte black, it means without shine. The lamination can flake off after training to expose the shiny paint underneath. I suggest adding some stick tape to the shaft if you don't mind blocking out the design.

Hitting:
-The stick, for having such a soft feel, hits amazingly. It has a really big sweet spot, and if you catch that the power is more than you need anywhere in the game. However, this is not to say that the raw power of the stick is on equal terms with the monstrous Gryphon Tour - the stick isn't designed for the "artillery" side of the game, but it still delivers in this respect. The bow doesn't really make a huge difference in hits - it's mostly about your technique. However, having said that, the ball is very easy to lift. Same goes with slap hits.

Dribbling:
-Let's face it, they have to make something pretty special if they're gonna make claims like that. For what it's worth, it really doesn't let you down, the reverse side of the head is amazing - great feel and response. The head's shape is really nice for doing spins in the hook of the stick, cradling the ball perfectly and allowing yourself to do the skills with all the speed and precision that you need (after you get the technique right yourself). 3D Skills are made really simple with the thin head and low-ish bow - the stick is perfect for subtle, controlled flicks on the run.

Pushing:
-As one would expect, the bow placement helps pushing in terms of speed and of course deception  but it´s simply not as astounding as Kookaburra Ultralite Low Bow. The slightly more weighted feel and lack of concave playing surface make the stick suitable for this area of play, yet not really as intense as the dribbling.

Flicking:
-The stick is actually really nice for flicks - this is where you really notice the change a low bow makes to your game. Drag flicking is powerful due to the great sling shot effect and high balance point of the stick as well as having a reasonably slim shaft, but there are no doubt some sticks out there better suited to this area (the extreme low bows). Aerials are made a lot easier with this stick, with the 24,5mm bend, you can throw them very far and high.

Tomahawks:
-One of the things Dita paid attention to when making this stick was the reinforced inside edge: which really paid off. The low bow isn't too extreme so if you're used to using a mid bow, you shouldn't have to adjust very much. The power on the reverse hits is amazing, you can always feel it when you've hit one cleanly - the edge feels really strong and solid without being chunky or heavy. The shape and thickness of the blade is perfect for powerful shots - with practice, it is your choice whether you hit one flat or into the top corner - both are performed with ease. The edge itself is really solid and gives a great response.

Kookaburra Ultralite Lithium LB

Composition:
-95% carbon
-5% fibreglass

Weight:
-526g

Bend:
-25mm.Optimun point 250mm up the stick

Design:
-When I saw the pictures of this stick on the internet, it looked like a matte finish on the stick, but the stick is actually finished off with a nice, shiny finish. It´s black with the words surrounded by yellow and the emblem of Kookaburra in yellow too.

Hitting:
-Hitting was one of the only things that made me slightly apprehensive about buying this stick, scientifically proving that a light stick will have less power output I was again pleasantly surprised as I was able to generate lots of power from the hits. The high carbon content of the stick clearly gives a good power output aiding the hitting ability of this stick.

Dribbling:
-I had read that dribbling would be easier with a superlight stick and funnily enough, I can dribble almost twice as fast and with more control, the skill zone allows you to keep hold of the ball for longer and also helps when doing push passes, it meets the FIH rules as the indent is only 4mm.Those who are used to quite a low carbon content may have to adjust slightly to the rebound of the stick,  however it can be used effectively to receive on the move and all it takes to stop the ball dead when receiving a very hard pass is just a slightly more cushioning technique.

Flicking:
-The Ultralite lithium has an extreme Low-Bow which helps drag flicking and aerials. The reduced weight of the stick has given me more manoeuvrability throughout the drag flick and this has allowed me to improve the consistency and accuracy of my high drag flicks as it is easier to lift the stick and the ball.Aerial distance also increases as the combination of the concave in the face, the Low-Bow (which both allow you to get under the ball even more), increased stick speed due to the stick being lighter and of course good technique come together.

Conclusion:
-If you are looking for a lighter stick that has still has good hitting power, dragflicking potential and nice long lasting graphics, then buy this stick, it is a step in the right direction for hockey stick technology, and unlike some of the very expensive top of the range sticks, this stick main feature is not a gimmick.

Zoppo xsp extreme low bow

Composition:
-70% carbon.
-15% fibreglass.
-15% kevlar.

Weight:
-570g.

Bend:
-25mm.Optimun point 250mm up the stick.

Design:
-It hasn´t got the traditional design of the zoppo. His surface is like the dragon scales. It is black with red bands.I´ve never seen anything like that in any stick. The wear of the graphics seems to be good too.

Hitting:
-The 70% carbon content means it is pretty stiff, but the 25% glassfibre mean your hand do not get to battered, overall it hits very nicely and has a lot of power.

Dribbling:
-As you would expect from a 70% carbon, low bow stick the dribbling is insanely nice.

Pushing

-Again, as you would expect of a low bow, the stick is very nice for pushing. You can really feel is swoosh out of the bow for that little bit of extra power that you sometimes need.

Flicking:
-The stick is awesome for drag flicking. The best thing about the bow in particular is that it is easy to deceive a keeper as the stick cradles the ball so nicely, so you can adjust your wrists right at the last minute.
